Over years of travel throughout Athens/Attica, the Corinthia, and the Argolid I’ve learned that patience is part of the process when it comes to photography. Most folks know Greece as the birthplace of democracy, modern philosophy, and a diet that will let you live well into your 90s.
Abandoned in the Argolid
This is what twelve years of documenting the colors, textures, and scenery of Greece looks like.
For a kid who grew up in Ohio in the 80s and 90s, it’s a kind of “Visual Disneyland.”
For me, Greece has become a place to see the effects of change against a place that prides itself on rigidly maintaining tradition and ancient heritage. My work explores themes of change within a tightly knit culture that has had an outsize effect on the history of civilization.
